"Country Road Take Me Home". . .

In mid November Daddy took the three youngest kids on a road trip to visit Grandma and Grandpa S in Missouri.  We were all supposed to go, but BJ Got sick and missed eight days of school.  His grades could not bare for him to miss any more!  MJ worries when she misses school as well so,  mom stayed behind with the older two kids.
We were long over due for a  visit.  We hadn't been to see Grandma and Grandpa S for four years.  AJ was one month old when we were last there!  CJ Kept talking about the red barn, swinging rope and horses.  They were so excited they could hardly stand it!  They just smiled at me sleepily and said, "By Mom, see you later alligator, " when I put them in the car at 4:00 in the morning.  The whole drive took about 23 hours.
Mom was sad to give up her babies, especially LJ only 17 months old.  But, Grandma and Grandpa hadn't seen them in awhile and daddy really wanted to take them.  So, mommy said Yes!
The kids were great for Jer!  He must have had guardian  angels with him because  LJ was very content the whole way and the other two hardly fought.  Mommy packed lots of movies and tons of snacks!  That helped!

Days at the farm were spent, eating Grandma's yummy food. . .

riding horses, milking cows, playing in the barn, shooting pigeons. . .

And of course plenty of cousin time!

Thanks Aunt Meg and Uncle Steve for the great days on your farm!
Thanks Grandma and Grandpa S for the memories and love. We love you!!!

Families make us who we are and who we're not
They know our hearts and love them anyway
They share our dreams and memories
They give us a safe place to learn and grow
They create those peaceful comfort feelings
They keep us coming home when we are grown
"Country Road Take Me Home To The Place I Belong". . .
My Family

We are so grateful for our little family and our extended family who have loved and supported us through thick and thin!

Wow! Jeremy is really brave to take a road trip with 3 young kids all by himself! Way to go! I'm glad they were good for him and it all went well!
