These two posts ended up being out of order. (Just to explain we went to Canda in April to see Jer's family). After all the family events were over we decided to just hang out and enjoy cousins for the day. There was a great little store in town with the best ice cream. They also served Kettle corn which the worker cooked right out side in a big kettle. The kids had a blast! It was so fun to spend time with Aunt Shanna and her kids. However, it just made us miss them more and wish we had more time with them.
We tried to go to the movies, but we had just missed the ones we wanted to see. We then decided to try bowling in Canada with their little bowling balls and five pins. The kids were so excited and all had their bowling shoes on when we realized that the bowling alley didn't take credit cards. So, after many tears later we put our shoes back on and headed to the beach. Some of us played in the sand while others watched movies in the car.
All in all it was a good trip. I thought Canada was beautiful. It was great to reminisce with Jeremy about his visits to see his grandma and grandpa when he was a small boy.
On Easter day we traveled home and were in the car for ten hours. Not my favorite way to spend Easter, but we did stay in a hotel that night and enjoyed swimming, movies, and cards.
